New Haven has one of the highest shootings per capita in the country. Hartford is in the top ten in shootings per capita. I feel that the need you have to carry a gun is an extension of your penis. It makes you do things or say things you would never do or say if you were unarmed. If you have the guts to confront someone who is doing something wrong (like parking in a handicapped spot when there is nothing wrong with them) then you should have the guts to do it without a weapon. A weapon makes you feel empowered. Not a good thing for some people. BUT, a trained police officer in a school could conceivably stop someone who is crazy. As long as the bad guys have guns and until we figure out how to un-arm them, NRA guy is right. We need more trained good guys in strategic places.
